STARTED ON THE PROJECT.
I'll post some pics as I go. working out the details on mounting the steering wheel at the other end and reversing the draw on the linkage so it'll turn right way with the steering wheel. Going to have to lengthen the steering column too.

laying it out for function, Steering works ok with this set up so now I can get the toothpick supports off & actually build a mount for the steering column and gears.

well OK the need has come to get back on board with this project.
I got parts in hand and am moving forward. Pics to follow. two years sitting outside caused me some setback. steering components rusted tight.

I think I solved my guide bearing issue after looking closely at my vehicle lift. I've been trying to implement ball bearings on the carriage for my forklift and they keep cracking. my vehicle lift uses delrin, BINGO... so I ordered a block. Have a 36" stroke
cylinder 2 sprockets and chain. assembly started.

I'm still collecting stuff. Work has kept me too busy to get any projects worked on lately. I'll see if I can post a pic of my current status.

tires keep going flat on the chassis for the project. soon as I get some good rubber on the wheels I dig back into this. I need to get this thing built because I'm wishing I had it almost daily now.
