I can't do facebook, so that leaves me out.we would have to start our own forum.--I did find one possible way, (not too costly) check out the Corn picker forum.---the site they use does everything and the per year cost now is half regular price. thanks; sonny

I"m in to help out, donate some money if required.
I dont post much but log in most days.

Some wise words from another forum moderator

There's so much more to running a forum than just starting it.

It takes real nous, money, and in depth knowledge to deal with complications that arise.

'Free' hosting is a waste of time. If you enjoy any success, you'll exceed your size or bandwirth, and it will either get expensive or the plug will be pulled.

Problems arise, and you need to know how to interpret the server logs, so you can go to your ISP and ask for a solution.

I have none of these skills, and if it was my responsibility the forum would have been extinct years ago. aliengravy is the philanthropist who pays, and keeps it all tickety boo.

When our server got hacked, I see him do a 24+ hour stint, going through every file, looking for backdoor code installed by hackers. This is now why we run with no add on's, like Tappatalk. You cannot trust them!

I don't believe the idea is bad, we just need to be informed of the possibilities and potential difficulties.
I am also not tech enough to carry it out I'm sure, at this point I wouldn't have a clue. I think I will ask some questions to my brother however, he is much more into this kind of thing.
There is at least a few of us with the desire to continue on with this one way or another. They say "Where there's a will, there's a way", many of us have proved this time and again with our projects...couldn't this be just another one?

The facebook thing is a way to keep in touch BUT it's near impossible to follow any 1 particular project. I myself have not been getting too much done lately, however I do try to pop in every now and then just to try and keep up.

I follow Tom on Flickr so I at least pop in to see what the pics are of when he posts new ones.
