Tom and Jim c. Thanks for the plans. Jim what size cylinders are you using on your backhoe. Mainly how long is the stroke. I have several that came off a small tractor front end loader that I could use for the outriggers. Any help is appreciated. Aaron

shortera if your rams need to have shorter stroke you can put stroke limiters in them.

Aaron,
All the rams are 8"( https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-5439 )
except the swing rams they are only 4" ( https://www.surpluscenter.com/Item.asp?item=9-7258-4 )there is room to move things for longer rams but they aren't needed. I had a few 18" rams But opted to just buy the new ones because they were cheep enough from SurplusCenter. I found a different site to get the fittings required to hook every thing up. I got the control valve from surplus & made my own joystick controls. I posted a bunch of pics of the progress up on my flickr page. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jim0421/sets/72157628142580047/
