Thanks every one, The developer is working on making a simpler task. but for the time being this is it. I suspect this will be about a month to get squared away. Thanks Dan for jumping in there. I will update the instructions above to make this a little more clear in the meantime.

Just a problem that I came across. I composed a new thread, then when I clicked file manager to add attachments, my popup blocker came up. I clicked on allow pop ups from this site, and when it returned me to the message, all the content was gone. I will in the future copy my message before I click to add attachments so I don't have to start all over. I'm too pi$$ed about it right now to re post, so see yall later....Stan in SW, Mio.

Just a test to add attachment. Hope it works....Stan
Nope! Nope again! 3rd time a charmer!
I was browsing for the file, and didn't click add file before clicking done adding files. Oh well, 3 simple steps, and I missed one, don't ragg on me for that itsy bitty little mistake. By the way, I think this is a little Indian scooter that I photographed at an antique tractor show in Florida this past winter. It was in front of the Cushman scooter building at the flywheelers club, and I thought it was slick. Some of you probably know more than me about these scooters.

There are more than one way to upload pictures. I just uploaded several pictures and saw Tom's post. I will try to add to this and hopefully not add confusion. First, You can see the pictures by hitting "preview reply" I used a program (free) called Vallen Jpegger. Just google it and download it. It has been used and suggested before on this site. Run Vallen Jpegger and go to the directory where your pictures are. I have a separate directory where I put copies of pictures I want to post so they are always in the same place when I run Jpegger. Open the image you want to post and click on "image" at the top of the screen. The pulldown will show "quick downsize" select that and select "handheld PC Fits 240x320. That gives you a picture file of about 20K. Then I use photobucket. Upload the pictures to photobucket and open a second instance of your browser(Internet explorer, firefox etc.) so you can have Machine buliders running too. You want Machine builders on one and Photobucket on the other so you can switch back and forth. As you write your post on MB, when you want a picture, bring up the photobucket screen and put the mouse on the picture you want. A blue bar and a list of four text boxes will appear under the picture. Move your cursor to the second box down. It is titled "Direct Link" and starts out with http: Highlight this by pressing the left mouse button and moving the mouse to the right. Make sure you get all the characters. Right click and select copy. It will look like this http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss8/m...3_320_x_240.jpgGo back to the MB screen and put the cursor where you want your picture. Move the mouse to select "enter an image" at the top of your post and select it. It's the forth one from the left. I usually use the first option "insert a non-floating image". When you click that you will get a box with a window starting with a highlighted http: . Put your cursor right on top of the http and right click and select paste. The string from Photobucket should appear and there should be only one "http:". If there are two then you didn't have the mouse in the right place. If so delete one "http:// If all is well then hit "OK" and the string will appear in your post. If you click "preview post" you can see a copy with your picture in it but you have to go back up to your original to keep writing. If you have multiple pictures you just continue to flip back and forth between the MB screen and Photobucket. I hope this helps. There are other ways to do it but this will work. Chris

Access Denied (content_filter_denied) Your request was denied because it is not appropriate content. I like to use Flickr.com for this because those of us in certain jobs that want to play during lunch and break are not allowed to go to photobucket, videmo, or youtube. For some reason we can use Flickr.com (at least for now).
