These were to be thrown out at the project I am at.
The three sizes are 1-1/4" EMT - 1" Rigid, 1" EMT - 3/4" Rigid, and 3/4" EMT and 1/2" Rigid. They are barely used.
Dan.

Off the wall sizes.
But they will work just fine for "Goverment Work."

good score! I have used my conduit benders for smaller diameter black pipe and for small sizes of square tubing. I used my 1/2" bender for forming 1/2" square tubing for a rack on a freinds jeep, worked great with consistant radius tube bends.

I am real curious of where and what you guys find for free or cheap.

Nice score Dan, I hate the throw away culture. I use the 3/4 ridgid or 1" emt every day. Never hurts to find usable tools any day.

Love those free tools! That was real find.

My best score this month was today at the junkyard: 30 door hinges, a pair of Channelock nippers, a 46 MM wrench, a 1/2" Tin coated drill bit, 3/4" stubby wrench, and some pipe fittings, all for 10 bucks. Freebies are hard for me to come by, but that was close.

As far as could find out they were leftovers from the school's old industrial electric program, there were two types the this type and a tighter radius one for rigid only. They were surplus to the schools new program. I guess that the pile had been picked over pretty thoroughly before I got to the job. these three were hiding under an old electrical panel. grin
kbs, my meticulous nature had me transpose the tube sizes in the original post, should read 1" Rigid & 1-1/4" EMT, 3/4 Rigid & 1" EMT and 1/2" Rigid & 3/4" EMT.
Kent, most of my finds come from working as a Steamfitter, you would be surprised the stuff you can get just for the asking on these jobs.
Davie, I have the use of a 3/4" EMT bender but do not own it. it stays in my shop and is used quite a bit.
When I moved the junk electrical panel and saw these I thought to myself how lucky I had gotten. smile
Patience, if it is a tool and it is going to the dumpster I ask if I can have it. Sometimes the answer is yes. cool and sometimes it is no. mad It never hurts to ask.

Lu47Dan, I'm a millwright and have brought home a lot of stuff, but I am always interested in finding more. Unfortunatly where I work now will not allow you to take anything out of the scrap bins or out the door. I see stuff I'd like to have, but it goes to the scrap yard. Most of the scrap yards here will not let you salvage anything do to liability issues.

Kent, I also know a lot of people who find stuff that they can not use and think of me. I do pay a reward for somethings, but not for everything they bring me. I will horse trade a for a valuable item if I have something they want, or do a little welding for them in exchange for their item(s). I also hit garage sales and auction sales looking for stuff I can use, sell or trade for something I can use.
Once I get my pickup truck running again I will start taking "Sunday Drives" again, or what I call "Junk Spotting Trips" in the early spring and late fall. I have found structural steel, old ag equipment and a few tractors that way.
I had a friend who passed on last year, he and I would take turns driving around looking for stuff to buy, we found him an International bulldozer about 15 years ago about the size of a John Deere 350. The, dozer was setting in the weeds behind a house that was for sale, we contacted the real estate agent and went in and checked it out, two new batteries and a starter relay the old girl started and was loaded on his trailer for the trip home. He paid the estate what it was worth for scrap at the time, about $100 if I remember right. shocked grin
With the scrap madness the last few years a lot of stuff has disappeared, but there are still a few good areas around here to look and after all things quit and break everyday. smile
We have one scrapyard that will let you look, the one guy that works there does keep an eye out for certain things for me, like John Deere crawlers and early tractors. They do not show up often but once and a while they do. I have bought three restorable tractors off of them and had them resold before getting home with them. grin
